LFISKY, thanks for the summary. I'm already long, and intrigued sufficently to consider betting the ranch. Questions I wish had answers:
1) status of manufacturing: Does company have product ready to sell in Europe?
2) more on marketing/distribution: So far in generalities. Cobe's out but not completely. Company will continue to use their infrastructure for intro of first two products in Europe, but company will handle marketing to customers--the change (termination of 1993 agreement with Cobe) so as not to confuse customer down the road... Wish all of this were clearer. Does it mean Aastrom will eventually be developing its own distribution infrastructure? How will marketing be handled in U.S. when time comes?
3) more on competing technologies: Doc on Yahoo thread is quite satisfied with PBPC mobilization... (if I'm following correctly)..?
4) more on potential competitors in the cell expansion/replication arena: If this is so big, surely the big players are working on it, too. Any known trials in the works by potential competitors? How general are the company's patents--what barriers to entry can they provide?
5) timetable for U.S. approvals?
6) company's own revenue/earnings projections: I'm sure it's hockey stick, but would like to know the range of possibilities they see--and upon which the key investors placed their bets.
7) disposition towards being acquired?
Pardon the long list. If answers are in the record somewhere, please point me towards them. Otherwise, let's see if we can continue to improve our understanding. I'll help where I can. After getting initial reactions on the thread, I'll e-mail remaining questions to company IR.
All the best,
SWAMI
