Maverick, go back to Chemistry, Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics 101 and you will see that a reduction in Sulfur in gasoline may help HPDI to battle NOx but will have a much more positive and significant impact on engines that employ OCP. Besides, it will be years before the refinery industry will have the infrastructure in place to remove sulfur from gasoline and just that in itself gives OCP a major advantage. The people at CARB know that. They cannot tell the auto industry to use OCP, they can only specify what needs to be achieved.
