AFTER THE BELL - IBM (IBM.N) trades

Thom Brown, managing director of Rutherford Brown and Catherwood, said he did not see the results affecting the company's share price very much.

"I don't think it's going to have a giant impact on the stock one way or another," he said. "But I think it may cause a brief period of selling because Wall Street (sells) on that kind of news. ...I don't get the feeling that we're going to get more exuberance in the price."

A Wall Street technology stock trader agreed. "There is nothing to drive the stock," he said.

Another trader covering the after-hours session later said U.S. Robotics (USRX.O) was trading at 74-1/4 against its close of 73-5/8 on the Nasdaq.
