"Especially interesting is the comment that the standards debate is a non-issue as far as USR is concerned. USR X2 is the only 56K game in town come Feb 15. It will for the most part remain that way until a standard is set. Until the standard is set, you can connect to most any big ISP with X2 or you can buy next June a Rockwell modem and hope you can find some ISP who can actually support it and also hope that it won't be difficult to upgrade to the standard in 1998.
