John (and everybody else),
I was at a medical meeting in NYC this past weekend. One of the talks was entitled new ways to evaluate chest pain in the ER. The speaker was the director of emergency services at SUNY. EBCT was not mentioned so I asked him his opinion during the Q&A session. First, he had no idea what EBCT was. I had to shout out from the audience that it was Ultrafast Catscan. He had heard of that but had no clue what it was or how it worked.
This was a doctor in a big-time teaching program. Interesting, the other doctors on the podium did not bail him out. They were also clueless. Clearly there is still a lot of marketing to be done. Whose job is this? Yours? GEs? I was truly shocked at the absence of familiarity...
