It was Republican President Abraham Lincoln
who created the Federal Reserve but I do
agree with you that Andrew Jackson was attacked
for his position on bringing banking under
Federal Control. In fact, as an interesting
trivia question, he was often called a
"jackass" for his political beliefs and later
the Democratic Party, USA adopted the symbol
of a jackass in his honor.
