In another item, Brookstone (BKST:Nasdaq) is an alluring takeover target, says one New York money manager. Meanwhile, in speaking of Brookstone, Janet Kloppenburg, an analyst at BancBoston Robertson Stephens, thinks Brookstone's stock is a bargain, and Barbara Miller of BT Alex. Brown sees the stock climbing to 19 or 20 in a year or even six months. Brookstone closed Thursday at 12 5/8.
