Hi Ram, I don't understand your claim that I'm behind on subjects which I've not discussed. Most of the stuff you have alluded to is off topic. The market for cellphone batteries is directly related to sales of phones and sales are off in the countries you have mentioned. There are various reasons for adopting a specific technology, but the main reason for adopting wireless communications in developing countries is cost advantage. Incidentally, the last time I priced an Iridium satphone, it was $3,500 US. This is not for the average Joe and I don't see a sizeable market in the third world at that price.
