Hi Tony, I just talked to Ken Corby, (972-884-2301,investor relations) this morning. I tried to write things down as he was speaking and from what I understand one of the intents of the Oaktree deal is to remove the lawsuit cloud and increase share holders value. He also mentioned there had been other offers. I asked if they are current or in the past and he said he couldn't comment. I asked if Emerson will be buying back more shares and he said yes he expects that to continue. I asked if he expects this quarters earning to be favorable and he said he believes to date they are. He also stated they have been working on a web site that will include product info, investors info, and I believe his secretary, Marsha Jefferson, said customer service as well. (I talked to her last Friday) This is supposed to be available in early 1999. BTW, I never did find an atomic clock radio in my area. RadioShack had one of their own brand ($39.99) but it had an antenna.(a wire and something at the end of it that you had to hang on the wall) I wonder if Emersons clock radio has that.
