In case anyone missed it -- From today's San Jose Mercury News Closing Bell: (ABX) Barrick Gold Corp (BXMNF) Bre X Minerals Ltd BRE X MINERALS LTD said that the letter it received from the Indonesian government did not claim the right to manage the huge Busang gold deposit. "It does not contain in there that 'the government will have full right to manage Busang II and III.' It's not in there," Bre-X spokesman Steve McAnulty said in a phone interview from Calgary. Reuters in Jakarta obtained a copy of the letter on Monday and reported that it gave Bre-X and BARRICK GOLD CORP one month to settle with their local partners in Busang.
