Dear Jay,
"Word" is that management is silent on its financials since they are really uncertain of the outcome. We hope to know something by Thursday, or next week at the latest. I placed a couple calls to Graham a few weeks back, but he did not answer; I presume they are busy working on the financials, so I have tried to stay out of their hair.
I also spoke to my boss, the president of BXI, and he had not heard from Graham for about four weeks, either. We have only heard rumors, many of which are bogus for sure.
Speculating, I think they want to be very careful that their information is precisely accurate before they release it, and so as a matter of caution they want to clarify all issues with the Commission before they feel confident to release a report. If they filed today, and then were forced to restate later, it could be disastrous and encourage law suits.
Well I have to sympathize with management and the position they find themselves in. Most of this goes back to the Baer years, as you point out.
At any rate, most of the efforts of Itex and BXI are focused on our daily business, and the stock will have little impact one way or the other.
Best regards,
Les (the BXI in Itex Land) |
