Your a victim of the press...call your electric Co. and see if you'll have electricity on 1/1/2000, call your bank and see if you'll be able to transact on 1/1/2000. Call your phone carrier and see if your phone will work on 1/1/2000. Call your local gas station and ask if you'll be able to pump gas on 1/1/2000. Stop in at your grocer and ask if they'll have the food on the shelves on 1/1/2000.

About the only group that isn't that well prepared is the government, gee I think that might be positive that they'll be shut down. Please note the Defense Department will be ok.
