Drew, I continue to doubt the value of Telcos anyway. Look at the internet. Here you have ISP's setting up NOC's to establish their business. They use the telecom infrastructure, but they reallly don't get much support from Telco's. The Internet is an information revolution of such scale and the Telcos have hardly participated until very recently.

So, everybody wants these dumbies to prove General Magic has a good product? Portico is not loyal to any platform. I used my service from my home phone and pay phones. Mostly, I used it to avoid long distance charges. Not the scenario Telcos are looking to sell. How does one Telco sell Portico to Cisco for example and benefit from air time used by employees out of their service area?

I'm still trying to figure this one out. Of course, if they can sell the service and take a cut of the monthly fees maybe it's more worthwhile, but often we see people saying that telcos will give the service away to increase air time.

Regards,

Mark
