Marc:

I GREATLY appreciate the time you invested into your last response. It seems as though I spoke too soon about Emerging Growth. It's done quite well the past week. It's certainly good to hear that Baxter's been flexible with her investment strategy within the EG portfolio. I am currently 50-50 between Select Equity and EG. Of course, I'm only 26 years old, so I can afford a little more volatility. I've thought about going 33-33-33 with SE, EG, and Large Cap 20, but I'm not sure that large caps will have as good of a year as small caps this year. In my opinion, small caps are a better value than large caps right now. The large caps have drawn such a large audience with their performance that I feel that small caps have been left in the closet, so to speak. This "should" be the year of the small caps. Let's just keep our fingers crossed for 1997.
