No, they did not confess until they were caught, and no, what they did wasn't right. But so far as I recall none of them lied under oath about it. Actually, Nixon is the only one you mentioned that had a legal duty to uphold the law, and you may recall that one of the counts of the impeachment proceedings against him was that he lied to the American people. Hmmm. Do you recall anybody in the present situation admitting lying to the American people? Do you recall anybody in the present situation saying that lying to the American people was sufficient reason to impeach Nixon? (Hint: her initials are H.C.)

I have a question for you. If it were Nixon in the White House today and the charges of perjury were brought against him, how many Democrats do you believe would vote against impeachment? Can you count to zero?

Keep in mind that many Republicans did vote to impeach Nixon. They were willing to place integrity above party. Sadly, I don't see that in the Democrats in congress. And it truly does make me sad.
