Here in the USA...our Federal Reserve has control over what is marginable and what isn't marginable, under their Regulation T statute.

Legit USA brokerage houses pay attention to this dayily Fed List, issued every morning, as to what is a marginable stock and what isn't. AMEN is NOT on the FED Reserve Reg T Marginable stock list. Most of the time, unless there are special circumstances, any US listed stock over $5 per share is a marginable stock. The special circumstances surrounding the enormously volatile 'net stocks don't need belabouring.

The Fed. Reserve maintains control over shorting by enforcement of this Reg T regulation, since the Fed Reserve considers the action called shorting as "creation of money" a power they reserve sole legal right to regulate.

I have the hard copy around this treasure trove of an office somewhere. Maybe one of the skilled surfers can post same on this thread for you.

G/L.
Ole---plays by the shorting rules and wants others to, also---49r
