Tenchu, If wishes were fishes, we would all eat well.
In fact the case does directly apply to Intel. It does not apply to those that are actually speed tested and marked as per their valid speed range and sold theirein.
It would apply to those that are deliberately marked and sold, and speed limited as slower chips . We all know this is done, numerous tests have shown the assorted intel parts run far faster than they are sold at and they have the same heat profile as higher speed chips and the same lifetime. It is abit of protective writing where they try wnd limit the "overclocking" as destructive.
Possibly this will be explored some time soom.
