Vitas - the bombing was just another obscenity along the way - the timing made it far worse Looking in, it looks like the States is more divided than at any time since Vietnam - partly - largely - because the southern elements of the Republican Party can't abide the results of the ballot box. Moderate elements of the party appear to be terrorised by the religious right and right wing extremists. They couldn't abide Gingrich either - far too moderate. It's 2 years to the next poll - but the Party could well lose both houses next time around - but the extremists don't appear to care. The pack of cards is wobbling. We may have seen two phyrric victories - Clinton's (and the US) in Iraq, and the House Republicans on the impeachment vote.

I would like to join you in your other wishful thinking, but sadly it's just that. E
