I have had a problem with crows. I put my garbage out in plastic bags like the collectors ask and the crows rip the bags to shreds. Today I waited and fired a bird bomb at them, a 12 ga. shotgun shell that goes pop but sends a big kabomber out 50 to 70 yards that goes kablam. Crows left, came back and waited in a tree. Pop, birds fly off, kabloom right on their asses. Crows outta sight. I leave for 10 minutes and garbage is spread everywhere. Time for live ammo but I hate to shoot them. One of life's problems.
