Who says model 1 is superior to model 2? Who says SAP didn't find something superior to this other persons "perfect model". Who claimed it to be perfect??? Codd and Date did, there was a white paper about it. Jon, I think everybody appreciates your thoughts here and let me just say that you may be right. The entire point of this whole discussion was not to get into a holy war about Abap. The point was, that in the early 90s a marketing opportunity existed for Oracle to challenge Sap on their architecture. They didnt do that, and they missed their window. Its all water under the bridge now. Michelle
