They seem a good deal better thought-out than Sood's. Remarkable, really, that he (and Paul) had comments ready for the press so very quickly. The news item was timestamped 20:20, which means that the reporter must have talked with both of them shortly after the conference call ended. I can only say that if I were an analyst speaking for publication I'd want more time to go over the figures and to listen to what was said before I opened my mouth.

I think you're right: there are vested interests here which must be protected. Or else they're both monumentally stupid.
