Frank Coluccio referenced (in a message to me) that the use of Unix and NT in OSS systems of circuit-switched networks renders traditional circuit networks as vulnerable as packet networks. I would suggest however, that OSS servers are *not* as vulnerable to outside access as are servers which are directly carrying the interruptable data traffic.
