Larry S,

Thanks for the article... I agree with you... this report is good considering MUEI only beat est by .01 - MUEI have never look so good as a LT or IT investment. People worry about the stated charge for the exit from Japan... what they tend to forget is that the charge can be offset by getting rid of a losing proposition. The question is how much did MUEI lost in Japan this qtr... my guess is upwards to $5M + (my guesstimate, from percentages). So does incurring a $3M + charge sound bad... if in the process you stop the bleeding?

As a ST investment... we'll see in the next couple weeks... it may not be so bad either. Remember, some institutions are still not convinced that even Kocher can fix MUEI's malaise... with such quick results and decisive moves, how can anyone be but root for the guy?

personally, i think it is a good report. still think HWP or IBM should buy MUEI at 35.

HWP got their own problems keeping up with DELL... maybe they need to go back to just printers and peripherals... they were great at it, just got too ambitious. IBM still think they have the best PC line around, so until that changes, no go...

JMHO,
SF

PS: (edit) 5M+ not 10M+.
