Most people don't buy straight ground pork, the main "ground pork sold in the US is sausage. Suspect someone used a little journalistic freedom and described sausage as ground pork. as I posted before, spices are added to sausage. I can assure you, I bought some at the 1.39 a pound. also, if the pig is hauled 70 miles it will cost less than if it is hauled 700 miles.
