If not Gore who? Gephardt? Laugh, choke, laugh. No, Democrats have no one with name recognition besides Gore IMO that could beat George in 2000 much less his popular Texan son. Gore's made too many conflicting statements to be taken seriously, like, "I didn't know the event was a fundraiser," while his e-mail refers to the event as "the fundraiser." And Jeb will be waiting in the wings afterwards too. You never damage yourself by doing the right thing. The hundred Dems that stood behind Clinton are the ones that really damaged themselves.
