Charles- Nice to hear from you again. I recall once walking on Broadway in New York City, and I stopped to observe a 3-Card-Monty game in progress on the sidewalk. (For those who have never been cheated by this beguiling card game, 3-Card-Monty is like the old pea in a shell trick only the hypster uses three cards and asks people to bet on where a particular card is.) The hypster who was running the game motioned me to come closer to him, as if to confide in me. He warned me that the guy running a competing 3-Card-Monty game on the next block was a crook. I then watched my confidant cheat a half dozen people. I learned to beware of those who profess to look out for my interests.
