Indeed. What we have here is nothing short of a commodities exchange for bandwidth and facilities usage taking place. This was only predicted to take place a couple of years back, but we have it in full bloom today. I once likened this to the buying and selling of air pollution rights in another venue about three years ago.

It's happening at all denominations. Jeff Pulver actually has a broker screen set up to handle this, in fact, for bulk buying and selling of capacity [in Jeff's case it's minutes of use by the month or quarter, but others are doing the same thing at spot rates for the higher denominations, as well, on the open market].
