<<TAVA management engaged in a campaign of Y2K fix promotion designed to boost the stock >>

I both agree and disagree. TAVA management was smart enough to use Y2K as a lever to get in the door of accounts who otherwise wouldn't have given them the time of day, and undoubtedly, this will strengthen TAVA's long term position in its core business. It also has a nice short term cash generation effect, which can be used to fuel acquisitions or other tactical/strategic moves associated with the core business.

If there was any Y2K hype going on, it surely wasn't from TAVA management. It was largely from some of the pie-eyed zealots that frequent this forum.

If TAVA management engaged in a campaign to *leverage* Y2K to boost the stock price, how could that possibly be a bad thing?

TAVA mgmt's mistake was not clearly communicating their post-Y2K strategy early on (and the role Y2K played in it), not properly positioning the company, and not roping in the hypesters before things became unmanageable.

I, for one, think the Y2K hype factor is behind us, and realistic expectations have been set moving forward. Now it is up to TAVA management to execute, execute, execute.

Buy some at 5 3/4. You'll be glad you did. ;>
