OCG Technology, Inc. Marketing Update
NEW YORK, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- OCG Technology, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: OCGT - news). In accord with the policy OCGT
announced on October 9th of this year, to keep the Company's shareholders and the investing community informed of the business
activities, of OCGT's wholly owned subsidiary PrimeCare Systems, Inc., the Company offers the following update:
Since October 9th, OCGT has increased the number of PrimeCare™ Patient Management System installations from ten to thirteen
with a combined user base of about thirty-two physicians. The Company has added three value-added resellers (''VARs'') bringing
the Company's marketing distribution channel total to eight VARs. The Company anticipates that during 1999, the Company will
continue to expand its VAR base. The Company and/or its VARs are currently in various stages of discussion and/or evaluation with
more than fifteen potential installations, which includes groups, multi-location clinics and hospital clinics with combined potential
users in excess of 400 physicians. The Company has been advised by its VARs that they have received additional expressions of
interest and that discussions with other potential installations are moving forward. As previously reported it takes approximately two
to three months until the VAR has developed a comfort level with the Products. The Company feels that some of its VARs have now
reached that level. As a result, the Company believes that its rate of sales and installations will accelerate during 1999. Under
present conditions, the Company anticipates breakeven will occur with a user base of approximately 175 physicians.
On December 10, 1998, OCGT introduced PrimeCare™ on the Web, a secure Internet version of the PrimeCare™ Patient Management
System. Discussions are underway with a number of Healthcare Internet Companies that appear to be leaders in the Healthcare
Internet field.
During the first quarter of 1999, OCGT plans to introduce a modified version of PrimeCare™ on the Web, for use by anyone seeking
additional or expanded information concerning a medical problem or condition. Through PrimeCare's web site, they will be able to
access medical history questionnaires concerning their medical problem. They will receive a report containing their significant
responses and an alphabetical list of the diagnostic possibilities. The Company anticipates that this service will be revenue producing
through advertising receipts or from a nominal charge for this service, or a combination of both. Additionally, the Company believes
that this service will significantly enhance public and physician awareness of the PrimeCare™ Patient Management System.
