Jim, you do a tendency to get off track-in any case-you have a legitimate question concerning Mina Claudia. MDIN issued a press release back in January 1998, stating they did not plan to renew a OPTION on Mina Claudia. Therefore, it sounded to me that MDIN/NPEC or whoever never had a purchase contract for these claims-just an option to purchase-common practice in the mining industry. This explains why there is no refund, or cash cow to speak of.

This property was put on the back burner due to the Santiago/Andicollo claims. I was told recently by a knowledgeable MDIN shareholder that MDIN may still have an option or be able to obtain an option on Mina Claudia-apparantly the region this property is located is now considered a "hot" region and it may be worthwhile for MDIN to reexamine this claims at some future date when they get to this low priority item. I have not bothered to confirm this information as it appears to have little relevance. My knowledge of Mina Claudia is limited as it was, "before my time" so to speak-before I became invested in MDIN.
