One of the most undervalued closed end funds that I am aware of is the Health Care and Biotech Venture Fund trading on TSE symbol HCB.UN.It currently is trading at a 32% discount to published n.a.v.With 34% of the fund invested in private companies that are carried on the books at cost,the n.a.v would be much greater if the realized increase in value of the private investments could be reflected on the balance sheet.They have a wind up provision to liquidate the portfolio in 3 years. I have a position in my RRSP. Richard
