I read a post from zbyte sun. night asking how many of us were excited. I was in the process of writing all the reasons tsig excites me when I hit the wrong button and accidentally erased post. Went to bed instead.
The reaction of this market over the last two days is not what I had expected, however it does not dampen my enthusiasm. It merely serves to strengthen my premise that the daily going on's in the market place is based upon insanity. It would not surprise me to see little activity between now and the first of the year. While I hazarded a guess much higher than we were now in baldie's projection game, it would not bother me to close out the year here at half a buck or so, that would give me a 60% roi in tsig which is not bad to say the least.
I suspect that a large number of traders are enjoying the holidays, corporate america outside of the retail sector is usually in a slowdown between now and 1/1. This includes the stockbroker who is usually calling clients, but instead is having too much to drink at the office christmas party, or christmas shopping the old fashion way etc.
I read with interest your dropping the estimate of babe ruther's selling the card. I agree that it is unrealistic to think that we will recieve 900k kids selling for us. I also think your 20% more conservative figure is too low. Afterall didn't I read somewhere where you said that most help out but a few don't? Imo, we will probably get 899,923 kids selling, LOL. Anyway, the point is that it really doesn't matter. I have read various sales/profit projections and when one reads the last 10q it is obvious that it will not take much for tsig to attain profitibility. So little that if you take the lowest projection of the babe ruth #'s, that is more than enough. And we have to realize that is only ONE deal. I'm sure that there are other deals being worked on as we speak. Revenues coming from deals already done. Let us not forget, we still have an ad from Stereo review generating revenues, word of mouth etc. Everytime I have called the csr# I ask if they are busy, have always gotten the "it's really busy around here type answer". Has Dixie reads this he's probably saying "what's he talking about corp america slowing down" He's probably so busy he can't see the forest for the trees are in the way.
So while we have all been waiting for the big money making pr to hit and expected it to propel us to uncharted heights, as I did. We must now look at it realistically and realized it is 3 days till christmas, holidays will soon be over, and by that time the br pr will be all but forgotten except for by the astute investor and those answering the phones at tsig.
I must agree with Andrew who states
I think it may take actual reporting of revenues to get us over 1, although I suppose
some great news releases could get us pretty close.
Another great pr? How greedy can we be? How nice it would be! Actually reporting of revenues? Then we will truly see how big the br deal actually is. Anybody care to guess at a share price when tsig announces a profit? Suffice it to say it will be much higher than it is now.
Would advise all that are thinking about selling to tape their sell finger down and go enjoy the holidays.
Btw, baldie, you have until 12/31/98 close of market, to make that wise move of selling some losing dogs in your portfolio, taking the tax loss and investing in tsig, THE STAR OF 99.
