You are contradicting yourself, I like the ads, I own the stock, I am in the majority based on your post above.

Gee. Let's get argumentative. OK - I can do that.

My point is this. The majority of those who see LU's ads are not stockholders. Therefore the stockholders are a minority - and a vast one at that. That is my point, plain and simple. If LU gains stockholder support from their campaigns then I see no argument that could persuade me to believe that the end result for the stockholder is anything other than ancillary. LU's advertisements are of the 'soft' genre of public relations. Another good example is BASF with their upfront honesty "We don't make these things - we make these things better". Other than the very occasional reel of recording tape I do not think I have ever purchased a BASF product.

Anyway, this horse now has rigor mortis but it does make a better 'thwack' sound when I beat it.
