No, Frank, I do not work for the government nor do I receive assistance from them.
As for the content of the TV programs - I was talking about the news itself, CNN and network, all describing graphically the sexual charges against the president. Who controls that? WE do. What WE will watch, the networks will produce. And the United States has an insatiable, unhealthy appetite for scandal, especially sexual scandals. I did not mean the Republicans controlled the entertainment industry but that in their determination to bring down Clinton (or probably whoever was in office) they were willing to stoop to the lowest levels. Then we the audience accepted it by watching.
Read back a bit. The Republicans were going nowhere, and then someone decided at the end of the seventies with the religious movement growing as it was, there was a delectable voter base out there just ASKING for a party. Et cetera. THAT is your Republican "righteousness." Voila! Thousands of dead Central Americans, lies over Iran-Contra, the failed economy of trickle down, and the near collapse of social civility in caring for those who could not care for themselves.
And if I WERE a government employee or if I WERE on welfare, would I then not have a right to have political views?
