Roberta Salings SUGGESTED to me
that the investors on the internet, which she defined as approximately thirty people, aren't representative of OE's stockholders. Don't misunderstand my words, because I don't want to misquote her. She chose words carefully. She indicated thirty wasn't that many people relative to how many stockholders there are. We did not get into how many that is, nor did we address how many shares the thirty of us hold compared to those outstanding. She contended that our opinion is not representative, and I feel she was suggesting our "voice" is insignificant. I did get her to admit that the unrepresentative claim can't really be made because she has no idea how the other shareholders feel if they haven't voiced SUPPORT for the convertible. Lack of a complaint is NOT support. I also contended that a large chunk of the stockholders aren't even aware of it, but if they were they too would be complaining. Finally, we know that a lot of people "lurk" on these thread (I sure as hell don't blame them), and who knows how many people actually Emailed their opinions. I just thought you guys should know this before you get too excited. Again, I am only reading between the lines, but it seemed to me she dislikes having to deal with issues brought up on the internet (presumably because it immediately spreads thru a lot of investors, many who call). The internet has changed investing FOREVER. May as well get used to it. It's going to be a lot harder to hide sneeky moves and mistakes from stockholders. But we've essentially been labeled as troublemakers. Except for maybe Pierre the Boy Scout. It would be a lot more fun to be popular, but not if I'm going to lose money doing it!
Did anyone even notice that I indicated JH made an important post regarding CMGI? I call 'em as I see 'em, GOOD and bad.
