I have just recieved a e-mail from Amy Grashel regarding the dilemma of purchasing a gift card and not being able to include a acct credit so the recipient can purchase cd's on me. I e-mailed her back that in my instance I will include a ck so the recipients can send in my check , or deposit and send in their ck and purchase via the 800# if uncomfortable with e-commerce. I am positive that my 78 year old mother is uncomfortable with e-commerce. Helpfully she will not be in the spring of 99. She assures me that tsig is working with cohesive to solve this problem. Nothing like waiting till the last minute huh! The marvels of e-commerce.

Regarding multiple websites for corp. sponsors. I envision it working something like this.

I have just opened and paid my texaco bill. The envelope was stuffed with flyers. One of them was to purchase a stereo system for a very low price--Dixie, are you listening? If texaco is going to sell stereo's to their acct holders, don't you think they need to be told where to buy cd's? On the tear-off was a promo for 5k of free gas, drawing to be held this spring. Now let's suppose that texaco calls Dixie and say's instead of giving away 5k to get people to read our stuffers, we would rather be paid $5 for everybody that responds. Dixie says ok and lays out the program for them. Did you ever notice all the blank space on the right hand side of the cci web site? Suppose Dixie in addition to turning a 5k loss into a profit for texaco also puts up a web page for texaco? On the texaco web site there is a banner directing them to the cci/texaco page, On the right side of the cci site is the corporate sponsors of cci directing them to the cci page which is nothing more than an advertisement for that corp sponsor, instructions on how to use the card that they just purchased on their texaco acct and instructions on how to buy music from cci.

Get's pretty exciting doesn't it? Guerrilla marketing. That's what it's all about. Notice in my example I cite texaco has calling Dixie? In my opinion, Marty is right. The masses will come to us! Of course I don't know if I'm on the money with my example, but I do believe the cohesive deal is big and expect big things to be coming from it.
