Curiosity, impels me to ask: Why is it a possible to consider that existing gasoline stations in Germany can pump methanol by converting existing gas tanks, and not being considered in North America? When unleaded gas was phased out, apparently the excess tankage was used for additional grades of unleaded gasoline. There should be adequate storage facilities already in existence, should methanol be the fuel of choice, for the first wave of fuel celled powered vehicles. With all the mergers being made in todays market, it shouldn't be too far out to visualize a Major oil company becoming involved in selling methanol in the near future. Just a thought.
