On the contrary to the idea of upgrading current one-way cable to two-way cable which may take too long at a prohibitive level of expenses, one-way cable for receive-mode and telephone for request mode of Zenith seems to be more economical and are more practical (for home users) within the cable modem internet access scenario. I am ignoring the tie up of one's phone line during the request mode, here. Maybe this reasoning is reached by MM and proponents of Zenith's cable modem?! Mike: About Microsoft's embrace of cable modem, I am not sure if Microsoft's endorsement necessarily mean that they favor cable modem over ADSL modem. Past history has shown that they are known to go beyond the reasonable business practice/ethics to embrace and tout anything (products, company, tech, etc) that can be help MS's expansion of Windows 95, NT, network etc. A case in the point is Microsoft's announcment of MS network collaboration project with Westell using Westell's ADSL modem tech. And then now this embracing of Zenith...You got the picture... A.J.
