Beyond.com Selected by EarthWeb to Run Leading Online Software Store for IT Professionals
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 1998--Internet software superstore Beyond.com(tm) (Nasdaq:BYND) announced today that it has been selected to operate an exclusive online software store for EarthWeb, the leading provider of online services to information technology (IT) professionals.
Located at earthwebdirect.com, the software store, called EarthWeb Direct, will feature the ease of use and functionality of Beyond.com's Internet software superstore located at beyond.com, with a clear emphasis on software products of keen interest to IT professionals.
EarthWeb's suite of online services, including Developer.com, Datamation.com, Gamelan.com and ITKnowledge.com, are widely considered leading Web sites for IT professionals. Today's announcement means that Beyond.com will operate EarthWeb Direct, EarthWeb's online store, including accepting, processing and fulfilling orders on the site. EarthWeb's in-house commerce team will continue the management and promotion of the store.
