When you see several large buys in a row at the ask, and immediately after see the ask go down, it does seem a little dirty, doesn't it now? Or... does it seem dirtier when the buying is in a frenzy and the ask doesn't move at all, no matter what the volume? Or...does it seem dirtier when a couple of 100 share sells go by and the bid goes right down, and a couple hundred more sell, and the bid goes down again? Then thousands more buy and nothing happens. Or...does it seem dirtier when...oh, I'm sorry I got carried away. No, wait a minute, one more. My favorite. The ask is holding fine with steady moderate volume on both sides, and all of a sudden the ask jumps up, and then bam a really big buy goes through, and then bam the ask goes right back down. It goes like this: "Hey, look, Herb, a market order hehehe, jack it up then hit it hehehe. All right now, back to the limits..."
The greedy small-time puffed up bookies dealing these pennies don't have any conscience about stiffing us retail investors, especially not while their shorting. And they're doing it by the rules!!! |
