rh, I've been doing more research on the Anglogold web site into this question and I come up with the following which shows AU ain't so cheap after all:

There are 100 million shares outstanding and 200 million ADR's (2 ADR's per common share). Yesterday's share price in Johannesburg was around R240, this works out to R24 billion or $4 billion market cap at current exchange rates. So Yahoo's profile for AU is screwed up in showing only 50 million ADR's.
