Pezz,
If things were so simple that you could prevent starvation by lifting the embargo I would agree with you. But, as we have found in Africa, doing the right thing is not always that simple. Somehow, that food that we altruistically intend to prevent starvation is used as a political weapon by third world dictators. Often, that food ends up in the well-fed armed forces that at some point meet, or are likely to meet, our troops in the field.
