Even if we use a conservative figure like 5% sequential quarterly growth, compound that over four quarters and you get 22% year-over-year growth. Just looking at estimated earnings for fiscal 1997 of $1.30 or so, that's around 30% growth in earnings compared to fiscal 1996.

The 3D market is projected to triple(?) to about 25 million units. Even if SIII's market share dropped to say 33%, that's over 8 million units, which is 60% more than what SIII shipped in 1996. If they maintain their market share (I presume it's around 50% or whatever), that's 12.5 million units, more than double 1996 units sold. Even if there is pricing pressure, SIII should make that up with decreased manufacturing costs with its new fab plant.

This all sounds pretty good to me (unless my numbers are all wrong, which they could be, since I'm trying to remember off the top of my head, and right now I'm pretty buzzed).

Still LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG!!!!!
