I know an IS pro who made a million trading MSFT.
QCOM will be like any other stock, run and pullback
or go sideways. There is nothing wrong with the
buy/hold strategy. Depending on who you listen too
we are entering the 3rd year or 6th year of a bull
market. Remember '87, oddly the last time IBM
was a $175 stock. Many factors can rain on this
parade. Too many folks are expecting 20% gains
in the overall market/yr. and that is unrealistic. QCOM
is in both accounts. The IRA accounts gets traded with
regularity (no taxes to worry about for now). Regular
account isn't as frequent. Oddly, I made more in the
IRA on QCOM than the regular. Whether that streak
continues.......well the crystal ball is on the blink.

As more manufacturers, such as Motorola, start producing
phones the margins and competition tighten up. Brand
name vs. Who! That baby blue emblem carries alot
of clout. Don't forget the others that signed up, like
Nokia. These guys aren't slouches. It's been an impressive
run with maybe another day of slapping the shorts around.
Still the projections are for only $1.15 for the year. Hardly justifies
$100/share forward looking for the next 12 months.
