Dipy,

This sexual-political Armageddon was predicted months ago. It will not end soon, if ever. The way the press works, once politicians broach a subject it becomes fair game. As soon as Congress voted to put the Starr report on the Web, the sexual life of politicians became fair game for any reporter at any newspaper. Competition among media outlets will ensure an ongoing feeding frenzy.

That story about the Congressman's sex life the political reporter's been dying to do, to no avail, for years? All of a sudden the city editor's sighing and saying, "Yes, I guess you're right. It's a matter of public interest. Put the pedal to the metal."

BTW, I don't think this is at all a positive development in our nation's political discourse.
