BM -

Doesn't supply and demand have some say here. I mean:-

a. there is quite a lot of money going in all the time to finance over a hundred million peoples retirement.

b. This retirement is sort of fixed in time ie at a certain age people will on average retire. Given the number of people out there that situation is fixed.

c. In order to fund retirement you need to invest in stocks at least to some extent especially if interest rates are falling.

d. Some stocks are not going to do very wel over the next couple of years and some will do quite well.

e. There are less stocks that are going to do well than are going to perform badly.

f. It seems to be a reasonable guess at the moment that stocks like INTC, MSFT, AOL, ASND, CSCO, COMS etc are going to do reasonably well whereas ld industry stocks like - oils, BA, KO, steel, commodities, retailers, real estate etc are going to do less welll.

g. What would you do if a. - f. above are true?

Regards,

L
