I follow very closely a Mr Edward Yardini. He is the Chief Director of Research (or some other glorified title) for Deautche Morgen Grenfeld. Right now he is saying the long bond will be in the 6.25 % range by the end of 1997, and the Dow will be at 10,000 n=by the year 2000, but not a straight ride up. There will be intermittent corrections of 5% - 10% along the way. He believes these will be of the short term variety, lasting no longer then several weeks to a couple of months at a time.

Hope he's right!!
