I would guess three things have a lot to do with the selling pressure: (1) year-end selling; (2) a dismal 3-year performance for ultr and other small caps; and (3) Wall Street's current love affair with the internet has supplanted traditional selling channels like retail stores (e.g. Radio Shack) and the once-superhyped TV sales on HSN and QVC.
