Question To All: What will MSFT state in their earnings release? Will they be cautious about the future as usual or will a change take place?
In my opinion, they will start being more positive and will also announce a split. I believe that they are understanding the internet craze and realizing that it is not necessary to be negative and keep PE at current or lower levels. The internet stocks are screaming to MSFT that its PE is not high.

Why do they usually wait til later in the month to release earnings? My quess is that they want to get a feel for what other companies are stating about their own future outlook. They had be cautious so as to not be out of place (this would be more support that it has abused monopoly power) See last earnings release of October for evidence of this. Based upon what Oracle and other techs have been saying about their future, I think MSFT is about to be more forthcoming in its forward looking statements -- Translated --- things look great and they will admit it.
Any opinions?

Happy Holidays to All.
