<<All of the people elected to statewide offices are Democrats except the Secretary of State who is a moderate Republican. All of this, thanks to the foolishness of the Republicans in the House of Representatives. >> That's certainly bucking the trend. Besides having a significant edge in national vote totals, republicans actually gained governor seats in November. Here in Massachusetts, the most democrat state in the country, we elected a republican governor over a very strong democrat candidate.
